Cleather Hatchcock

Design (MFA Student)

I am Cleather H. Hathcock III, a second year Masters of Fine Art student who is specializing in Design from Alachua, FL.  I have received my undergraduate degrees in business administration and graphic design from Florida A&M University, in Tallahassee, FL.  I am also an alumnus of the 4A’s Multicultural Advertising Intern Program.  Currently, I am working as a teacher’s assistant for the design department at Howard University. I’m also a part time Sr. Gymnastics coach and artistic director for The Little Gym of Silver Spring.

For my research I’m currently working along side a local business owner to create a brand identity and marketing strategy to successfully promote their business to their target audience.  This strategy will also be used to gain potential clients while maintaining established customers.   Upon completion of this program, I aspire to work in the advertising industry as a Sr. Level Artistic Director, than foray that into a career as a creative director.  I also envision myself going back into academia and sharing my working knowledge of the industry to students. I hope to enable while inspiring future students to work towards their careers goals in the field of design.
