Lori Evelyn Allan is a creator from Detroit, MI. She designs various materials for print and web and also explores creative writing and watercolor.
A graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy, Lori holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Media, as well as minors in Architecture and Creative Writing. She is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Design at Howard University (expected May 2016) and is focusing her research on branding and marketing small businesses.
Before attending Howard University, Lori worked as a freelance graphic designer and also managed design and communications for Revolve, a collaborative program of the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation (DEGC). It was there that she developed a passion for small businesses. While at the DEGC, Lori worked with artists, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and building owners to activate vacant spaces with art installations and transformational businesses. Her efforts contributed to the revitalization of Detroit’s neighborhood business districts.
As Lori pursues an MFA, she is working as the Graphic and Web Designer at International Arts and Artists. She welcomes all to connect with her through email, especially prospective art students. Her portfolio can also be viewed online.
